Porretta Soul Festival, Porretta Terme

Dal 24 al 27 luglio ecco la 37ª edizione del festival che, con la direzione artistica di Graziano Uliani, ha ospitato i più grandi musicisti del rhythm&blues. Quest’anno si celebra Wilson Pickett, a 60 anni dalla sua session alla Stax di Memphis ‘In The Midnight Hour’, che nel 2024 è entrato nella Memphis Music Hall Of Fame con un Tributo della Foundation House Band con Jerome Chism, un tributo che si ripeterà a Porretta.

House Band di quest’anno è The Memphis Music Hall of Fame, diretta da Kurt Clayton, con una Line Up Artists stellare: giovedì 24 c’è John Nemeth, poi Andrew Strong & The Dublin Soul, chiude Al Kapeezy aka Al Kapone with The Memphis Music Hall Of Fame Band.

Venerdì 25 si riparte con Dublin Super-guest Captain Jack Watson, poi Memphis Music Hall Of Fame Band in ‘Tribute To James Carr’, guest Vincent Carr, con Shunta Mosby, Dani McGhee, Candy Fox, Carlos Strong, Jonté Mayon.

Sabato 26 ecco Crystal Thomas Band-guest Captain Jack Watson, poi Memphis Music Hall Of Fame Band in ‘Tribute To Wilson Pickett’ con Jerome Chism, Shunta Mosby, Dani McGhee, Candy Fox, Lil Rounds.

Domenica 27 The Blackburn Brothers poi Memphis Music Hall Of Fame Band con Shunta Mosby, Dani McGhee, Candy Fox, Jerome Chism, Lil Rounds, Jonté Mayon, Carlos Strong, Vincent Carr, Captain Jack Watson. Ogni giorno al Rufus Thomas Cafè free-concert e lo Street Food Village multietnico.
